Delivery on Flowers

Flowers are a great way to show someone you care.  You can deliver flowers to someone personally, or you can order them from a florist and have them deliver the flowers for you to any location you specify.  Nearly all florists offer delivery service with a flower purchase.  Flowers and other gifts can be ordered online and delivered anywhere you want. 

Flower Delivery Services

A local florists are the best way to get flowers delivered to their destination in a quick and efficient manner.  In many cases, flowers can often be ordered and delivered in the same day, as long as the place you want them delivered to is within their specific region.  The flowers will be hand delivered to where you specify on the same day or a later date that you request.  There is usually an additional charge for delivery.  Orders can be place in the actual store, on the phone or online from the company's website if they have one.  Another way to order flowers is to go through an order broker.  The order brokers offer special arrangements that can be purchased online.  The broker then sends the details for an arrangement to a florist local to the customer.  This service is good for sending flowers to locations throughout the country without having to contact the local florist directly.  This service does come with an additional fee, but it may be worth the convenience if sending flowers to a city you are not familiar with. 

Relay florist services are similar to brokers except they usually do not go through a local florist.  Relay services may have several locations throughout the country and can arrange and deliver the flowers themselves.  In the event that there is not one of these relay locations in close proximity to the delivery destination, the relay service may contact a local florist much like a broker would. 

Another way that flowers can be ordered is through a courier service.  In this case, the flowers are grown on a farm or in a warehouse of the flower company.  When an order is placed, the flowers are immediately picked and put in a box to be shipped right away, usually though an overnight service.  While this method is quick and can ensure that the flowers are as fresh as possible when they are received, the flowers must be conditioned by the customer that receives them.  Flowers from a florist are conditioned before they are sent out, but warehouse flowers are not.  If flowers are not correctly conditioned, they will die much faster.  The risk of getting a low quality flower is much higher than when ordering from an actual florist. 

Having flowers delivered is a convenient and easy way to send a gift to someone.  The total price of sending flowers can often vary on the arrangement you choose.  A dozen roses in a fancy vase will probably be somewhat expensive, but it all really depends.  Many simple arrangements in a vase will cost around $30 or more, while very elaborate flower arrangements can go as high as $100 or more.  Many florists will do custom arrangements, but these are probably more easily done by going to the florist and explaining what you want in person.  There are flower arrangements for all budgets and delivery is usually included with the cost or is a small additional fee.  Either way, it's the thought that counts and you can rarely go wrong with sending flowers as a gift. 

Flowers for All Occasions

Flowers are a great gift for that special someone on multiple occasions.  Valentine's Day is probably the busiest time of year for florists.  Other big days for flower delivery include Mother's Day, Birthdays and Christmas.  If you plan to order flowers for delivery on one of these days, be sure to place your order early to ensure that they are delivered on time.  If you hold out until the last minute, it may be too late, and so will be your flowers.  While these are the busiest times of year, flowers can be sent to someone for no reason at all.  If you have someone that you know likes to get flowers, sending them a bouquet randomly will likely brighten up their day, and likely score you points in their book.  If you're trying to impress someone, flowers are a good way to go.
